Privacy Policy
Welcome to Diwanet. We are committed to protecting the privacy of businesses and visitors who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Business registration data: When a business creates a page, we collect the owner's name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), and business details such as name, category, location, description, and contact information.
- Visitor data: When visitors browse Diwanet, we may collect anonymized usage data such as pages viewed, search terms, and general location (country/city level). We do not require visitors to create accounts.
- Content you post: Any posts, images, or videos published on your business page are stored on our servers and may be visible to the public.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your business page on the platform.
- To allow visitors to discover and contact your business.
- To send service-related communications such as account updates or important notices.
- To improve the platform through anonymized analytics.
- To detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the platform.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Business profile information (name, description, contact details, posts) is visible to anyone who visits your business page on Diwanet, as this is the nature of a public business directory.
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting providers and analytics tools), under strict confidentiality agreements.
4. Media Uploads
Images and videos you upload (logo, cover photo, post media) are stored securely and served through our content delivery network. By uploading media, you confirm you have the rights to share that content.
5. Cookies
We use minimal cookies to keep you signed in to your business account. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and business page data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal reasons.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your business data in a common format.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
9. Children's Privacy
Diwanet is designed for businesses and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered business owners of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
